Description & Background

Royal Dutch Shell is facing a growing outcry against its plans to conduct hydraulic fracturing in the Karoo. The process of fracking has received bad press in the US. In fact some states have banned it. Shell wants to take this controversial process of mining unconventional gas to the Karoo.
